29 SECEC-ESSSE CONGRESS - POZNAŃ 2020 · POLAND · SEPTEMBER 9-12

Welcome Letter

Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,

For the first time in SECEC history the organization of the meeting has been awarded to Poland and our part of Europe. We are all very proud and have already started the preparations to host the SECEC family on the highest possible level. I am sure that this meeting will represent the Eastern European spirit and hospitality, coming not only from Poland, but also from all our neighbors.

The venue is historically one of the oldest in our country, established in 1921 and currently a modern and adjustable congress center located in the center of the city. Most of the hotels will be in quite close proximity to the center and the Old Town. Poznan is easily accessible by all routes (flights, trains, cars). It is a vibrant city full of culture, history (cradle of nation), education and sports.

However, and most importantly, we will have again the opportunity to participate in probably the most important shoulder and elbow scientific meeting in the world, hosting the best experts and researchers. The Social Events will be equally attractive.

On behalf of the Polish Shoulder and Elbow Society, the University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, of SECEC, we are inviting you to join us in Poznan in 2020.

Przemyslaw Lubiatowski
Congress President

Dear Friends and Colleagues;

In 2020, for the first time in our history, we are traveling further east to the very heart of Eastern Europe, Poland. A distinguished member of our society, former chairman of the Eastern European Committee and my dear friend Przemyslaw Lubiatowski will host the twenty-ninth SECEC Congress in the beautiful city of Poznan.

I am furthermore glad and excited for having worked as a recent member of the Eastern European Committee since I believe this success, to a certain extent, can be attributed to the meticulous work of this Committee. This congress will be the evidence that SECEC represents shoulder and elbow surgery performed in a far more extensive geography than Central Europe.

The Poznan Congress presents a great opportunity not only to visit this splendid city with its living history and beautiful sightseeing attractions; but also to admire the fascinating culture of Poland and Eastern Europe. Dr. Lubiatowski and his team are arranging plenty of social occasions to rejoice all the flavors that Poznan offers to its visitors.

In Poznan, we will share a very rich and attractive scientific program presented by world renown experts, along with the most recent developments and brilliant innovations in our area of expertise bring forth by devoted researchers.

I believe in the effort dedicated to making this congress remarkable, and I am hoping to see you all in Poznan to enjoy together the 29th Congress of our society.

Mehmet Demirhan
President, SECEC
